Did you know that modern gynecology and neonatal procedures and methods were discovered on the slaves of black women and children? This week’s conversation focuses on how women are often discounted when they have medical issues - particularly WOC and plus size women. For centuries women’s pain has always been considered less than because of patriarchal systems. Unfortunately, if you’re not white (or a white man), you are thought of as less in America, even in receiving basic healthcare.
